TomA2
I've been trying to install from the JAS 10.4.7 DVD for several days, but it always freezes at the following line (-v): BSD: root: disk1s3, major 14, minor 5 I have a board that is supposed to be VERY compatible with OSX86: Intel D945GNTLR The processor is: Pentium D 840 I have tried burning the DVD several times (including at 1x)--the error remains the same. I've seen this BSD issue several times, but no solution. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27829-jas-1047-install-dvd-freezes/ Share on other sites

TomA2
I get the same. Booting in safe mode works correctly. You need to do the install through WINXP and VMware. That solves the problem. Search the boards for "VMware".
