you are AWESOME! you know why? because you posted a picture of the error :P

look in your bios settings for any AHCI/IDE settings and set them to AHCI mode if currently on IDE mode. or maybe they are already on AHCI mode, and only IDE mode will work... try it out and report back :)

NOOOO!!! lol

try a different distro, or go with a custom retail isntall. here is some info on OSX and raid installs(for 10.7 but prob the same for 10.6) http://www.osx86.net/10-7-lion/11831-easy-raid-install-10-7-lion.html

your mobo definitely works: http://www.osx86.net...-fx-6100-a.html try this: http://www.osx86.net...do=file&id=1070

and do some more of your OWN research :P

ah well i guess i'll just stick with windows for now

don't lose hope bro, it took me about a month to get os X working correctly on my machine. for your issue: try the flag "mach_kernel" without quotes.. ehh also i was told that the ram can sometimes cause problems if it's more than 4gb. try removing the extra sticks->install->then put them back. good luck
