Genix Posted September 16, 2006 Share Posted September 16, 2006 I have an IDE hard drive that is formatted in HFS+ but doesn't show up in OSX. If I go into disk utility I see it there but it is not mounted and won't allow me to mount it. If I format it to HFS+ (while in disk utility) I will be able to use the hard drive but when I log out or reboot it becomes unmountable again. Any ideas? JaS Posted September 16, 2006 Share Posted September 16, 2006 In disk utility highlight the drive not the partition, and select erase. U could easily use a FAT32 partition. i know thats no solution to your problem, but it might be as good.
