danageis
Hey guys, so it took me a LONG time to get my setup working on SL, and I have decided to leave the install at 10.6.7 instead of 10.6.8 because in previous installs 10.6.8 only seemed to create problems and slow down my system. However, I am now having a problem: Java applets will ONLY work in Safari browser. I use Chrome so this is a major inconvenience and I'd like to get it fixed. For reference, this is what javatester.org shows on: Chrome: Firefox: Safari: I have no java updates in system updates, even though javatester.org for safari is listing an outdated mac Java version. This makes me think that Apple only wants you to update Java by updating to 10.6.8. Any thoughts on this? If I am right about Apple preferring you just update to 10.6.8, is it possible to acquire and install the Java update separately in 10.6.7? I remember something about manually installing a different version of Mail.app from 10.5.x in Hazard installs so I figured something like that would be possible... any help would be appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/277529-getting-java-to-work-in-other-browsers-1067/ Share on other sites
