Hey yo,

I looked up the Asrock mobo on crucial's configurator thingie, and found the BL2KIT6464AA663 under the performance memory. Nice and cheap on newegg, so I go for it.

Can't get it to post. No video no beep. I found some DDR2-400 in a Pentium D box, and the system boots.

Any ideas? The RAM is DDR2-667, with 3-3-3-12 timing. newegg says it's 2.1v. Asrock's manual doesn't really have much specifics.

I should probably give in and buy the corsair stuff everyone else has, but I don't wanna hassle through the return, and I like those timing numbers.

I would experiment with BIOS Advanced Chipset setting a bit more before you return. I remember there were few options where you can loosen up memory requirements. I'm not sure if you can adjust the voltage for memory.

Thanks. I've called crucial, and they said they have tested on that board, but don't yet have any other customers on file with that board. :(

I'm gonna mess with the voltage and manually vs. auto in the bios. I hate yanking RAM so often, feels like I'm gonna crack the mobo.

Meanwhile, anyone have any alternate RAM recommendations?
