rlf
Does it hang during booting? What is the error when you run in verbose mode (-v)? Does it boot up and some components don't work? Which ones? ZØØT
What, exactly is 'everything'? If you haven't read a guide already, then, what were you trying? Where was your point of reference to draw from. Just wondering. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/277405-help-needed-getting-to-1068/#findComment-1808160 Share on other sites
davidb8
followed this guide originally http://tonymacx86.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/get-ready-for-os-x-lion-update-to-1068.html but it hangs at boot. tried a few others from around the web but cant find them now, and tried various methods posted in the comments of that ^ guide! here is a picture of what happens when i boot now! notice the artifacts near the top! maybe something about the graphics?! http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/685/201203230241.jpg/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/277405-help-needed-getting-to-1068/#findComment-1808322 Share on other sites
rlf
It looks like a conflict of kexts in that picture - multiple versions of the same kexts. In the guide you reference, the method by Rich B right near the bottom makes the most sense to me.
