Hameer Abbasi
Hello. I want to work out a few minor quirks on my system, if someone could help: My graphics memory is incorrectly detected. It shows my memory as 3072 MB whereas my GFX card is EVGA 550 Ti 2048 MB iCloud doesn't work (Account limit reached) Boot Camp doesn't work (Update firmware) Doesn't wake by moving mouse. Keyboard works, but haven't tested power button. (Both keyboard and mouse are USB, but both came with USB-to-PS/2 converters) Look in my signature for details on my system, and yes, I'm using a DSDT, with Lion 10.7.3. Thanks BTW I'm using #####+#####. miqlas
You can't use BootCamp on hack. You can install Windows without BootCamp. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/276183-minor-quirks/#findComment-1798809 Share on other sites
Hameer Abbasi
Hey. Thanks for the reply. I know we can, I currently do that on my rig. But I'd like it if we could use that too, just like a real Mac. Chatlink
Not waking up with a mouse move is normal. You could have known that... http://lmgtfy.com/?q...by+moving+mouse And for the iCloud thing: use an other serial number. nyolc8
I think the graphics memory detected wrong, because you have wrong memory configuration in your GFX0 section in DSDT.aml. Search for VRAM,totalsize and VRAM,memsize in gfx0 section. Change them to 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x80 Try clicking with the mouse for wake instead of moving it. Hameer Abbasi
Thanks a lot, chatlink. nyolc8, I'm using a pre-edited DSDT from tonymacx86.com, which, I think, doesn't include any graphics info. I know too little about DSDT editing to edit one myself. I have my original DSDT extracted, but have no idea what patches to apply. nyolc8
Do you using "device-properties" in your boot.plist file? Maybe that have a wrong memory size config.
