Funkoyote
HD 6770 is a rebranded HD 5770. The Same GPU but with the 6770 firmware don't work on OSX. It's sad, 6670, 6750, 6850, 6870 works, but 6770....don't work. Funkoyote
You can install and boot OSX without hardware acceleration (QE/CI). Maybe you can adjust resolution, but without graphics acceleration the system runs too slow and very limited. You can search for more information in 'Netkas.org' forums, sorry but my english is poor (puedo explicarme mejor en Español). I am stuck in 1024x768 resolution tho. Can anyone give me more info on flashing the firmware for the hd 6770? Will it make future driver updates for the 6770 incompatible and will it ruin the performance when gaming in windows? Thanks for all the answers so far! alaskantraveler
might just be as simple as inserting your card vendor number into the ATI6000Controller.kext plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/276033-hardware-compatibility-check-for-lion-install/#findComment-1797957 Share on other sites
