Installed the OS X 10.6 SL using ##### + #####: Install OS X on any Intel-based PC.

It was working perfectly yesterday. There is no kernel panic or error.

Today when I turn on, it hang at white screen with Apple Logo.

Here is the screenshot for white screen with apple logo.

Thanks for the link.

Sorry to ask as I am quite new in this and have little knowledge on Mac OS.

How do I add this kext since I am unable to access ?

Is there a way to load USB/CD in ##### and copy the file into the HDD?

Boot from your installation media with the kext on a flash drive or other HDD, run Terminal and copy the kext to /Volumes/[nameofOSXVolume]/System/Library/Extensions.

Then fix permissions and rebuild the caches:

chown -R root:wheel /Volumes/[nameofOSXVolume]/System/Library/Extensions

chmod -R go=u-w /Volumes/[nameofOSXVolume]/System/Library/Extensions

touch /Volumes/[nameofOSXVolume]/System/Library/Extensions/

and reboot

It is for most people. Some people recommend trying 3000 instead of 2000.

Look for more hints in the 10.6.8 update release thread in the new releases and updates forum, that's where the issue first surfaced.

I tried both 2000 and 3000 doesnt work.

Actually I was so focus on thinking how to access the HDD that I forgot to use the ##### CD to boot into the Snow Leopard installation DVD and access the terminal.

It was after I wipe the HDD and refer to ##### + ##### installation Guide then only notice that.

Stupid me. LOL.
