My system works well but no sound....... and PS2 The sound of this desktop( DELL DIMENSION 4700) works? and PS2? COMAND PLATFORM=x86pc dont work (show a gray screen, sorry reboot your system bla bla bla ...) Metod of instalation Generic DVD (marklar tiger) with paths... LAN=OK QE=OK USB=OK VIDEO=ok (gma 900 ) PS2= Sound= SATA/IDE=OK There is some info around here I used to get the Soundmax on my 4700 working...you must install the AppleIntelAC97 kext...also you need the kext for PS2...anyway, for sound, once it recognized you need to disable input, enable output, and use speakers 3 and 4 instead of 1 and 2......as I said, there is a post I found that gave me evreything...look for Soundmax Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

vette3619 Posted January 22, 2006 Share Posted January 22, 2006 (edited) I have a dell 4700 and it picks up the card but I tried all the audio ports and still no sound... Can some one explain how to disable the line in and enable the output for the soundmax card.... PS: I am running OSX 10.4.3 (8F1111g), w/ Jas 4.2b Patch I already searched the site.
