Hi People,

I have:

A gigabyte GA790FX-DQ6 Mobo

A AMD Phenom II X4 960T Cpu

A pair of 500 GB WD Harddrives

A SiI 3112 sata controller.

8 GB of ram.

I'm trying to install snow leopard (10.6) using the mac osx support esxi 5.0 is meant to have but all I get is the grey sceen with the mac logo and no loading spinner.

I have installed and run the latest version of the unlocker on my esxi server, but doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Im really stuck, is possible to install snow leopard with an amd processor? Also what exactly is the unlocker meant to do?

I have got to an install screen with the latest nawcom disk using the freebsd 64 bit template, but the install / copying of files goes really really slowly, like 2 hours never seems to get to the end. :(

Any advice or guidence on how to get snow or even lion running under esxi 5.0?

Really would appreciate some help, its totally driving me nuts (so nuts im posting this on chrissy eve). :)

TIA!

Hi People,

An update, I have been able to get anywhere with the built in macosx profile, its gets stuck at the grey loading screen, with the apple and the spinner.

I have had some luck with the nawcom disk: http://blog.nawcom.com/?p=446

and I used the graphics driver from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vmsvga2/files/Display/VMsvga2_v1.2.4_OS_10.6-7.pkg/download

then upgraded to 10.6.6

but the machine is really slow and pauses randomly, anyone have any suggestions on what could be the issue?

Thanks!

K3xenn
