How to install Snow Leopard on HDD with Windows 7?

4 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

I have a 1 TB HDD that has already been partitioned with active Windows 7.

When using snow leopard disk and using Disk Utility. It is detecting the partitions but with a ! mark in it. It says that i have to re-partition the whole disk with GUID! If i do this i will lose all the data with windows 7.

How can i install without disturbing the other partitions?

Your help will be highly appreciated.

If i format 1 partition to HFS+, will it solve this problem?

Basically you don't give any useful info to anybody who would like to help.

Which installation method are you using?

How many partitions do you have?

Knowing about your hardware wouldn't be bad either.

if you want to install on mbr disk leaving windows partition just make your own usb disk ( u need a working mac and a valid lion install app) then when you make it look for nawcom mbr hack or something like it it.

Follow this guide it has a video and when you install chameleonn on usb replace Extra folder with your Extra folder.

Then when you boot follow with your Extra after install and install necessary next for video, audio, sound.

Good luck.
