djacobs
Hi, I've always used Unix and linux terminals (bash), but i'm used to do so without running x. For linux i know a "shortcut" which consists out of 3 keys, "crtl+alt+F1-F6", but has anyone came across a similar shortcut or even a way to open a terminal without running x? With kind regards, Djacobs. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/273744-open-terminal-without-running-x/ Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
What do you mean running Terminal without running x? OS X does not "run x" in the first place. If you want to make a custom key combination that launches Terminal.app there is free software out there that can do that. snackole
I think he means X11. The terminal app is located in your utilities folder. You can put it in the dock for easy access.
