madblaster6
About me: Okay I'm computer savvy but I'm a noob when it comes to hackintosh. I have installed OSX on computer I have built before but I used Distros. I don't want to use my main desktop as an OSX machine so I'm using my laptop. Issue: Installing using distros anything under 10.7.1. I can get to load using these commands. cpus=1 and busratio=20(or)8. Once I install though The computer crashes on boot immediately. I tried -x -s -v -f cpus=1 and busratio=8. In different combinations but the system just crashes without any kernal panics. Also installed te cpus=1 patch Recently I tried to install iAtkos 10.7.1 using the disk method by converting the dmg using transmac. So The only command I had to run was cpus=1. Installed the os and same thing happens but If i run -v cpus=1 I get this message system uptime in nanoseconds. Sometimes it just hangs especially if I run -x. Specs: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02634810&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5051457 hard drive: changed to a SSD. OCZ Vertex le (this didn't make a difference if I had a regular hdd or ssd I have the same issue.) mobo: Intel Ibex peak Hm55, Intel Iron Lake IDE controller: Controller 5 series. 3400 series chipset family 4 port sata. Audio: IDT 92hD81B1x Intel Ibex peak PCH (Hd Audio) Wireless: Realtek PCIe GBE family controller Any ideas? Thanks. P.S I noticed some people had to do some kind of trick to get around the speedstep and need a patch to run a sandy-bridge cpu. IDK. Foxic
try booting with -v -f npci=0x2000 Use retail if you can, rather than a distro, they just complicate things. madblaster6
Thank you for replying. The farthest I got in retail was putting in -v -x cpus=1 busratio=8 npci=0x2000. I got the message bug launchd_core_logic.c:2408 (24957):30: (dbfg = open(g_job_overrides_db_path, 0_RDONLY | 0_EXLOCK | 0_CREAT. S IRUSR | S-IWUSR)) !=1 Then a few mins later I got jnl: disk0s1: replay_journal: from: 4059136 to: 4133376 (jofset 0x2ec000) jnl: disk0s1: journal replay done. then a few mins later Nstat_lookup_entry failed: 2 Nstat_lookup_entry failed: 2 previous Shutdown Cause: 3 ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::startforreal - waitforservice(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagment) Timed out DSMOS has arrived Then it just hangs. Foxic
DSMOS has arrived is one of the last things you should see before the OS loads. You may be having issues with your graphics card. I think the OS has loaded but you have no video support so cannot see the desktop.
