I have scanned Google, macosxhints, these fora and every place I could think of for an answer for what maybe a noob question. If there is a better forum section for the question, please advise me.

What I am attempting is to add a utility to the list of utilitys on the installer menubar on an OSX install disk. I have already opened the ISO file for read/write, copied the .app into the Application/Utilities folder and burned the result. That works.

What didn't work was the new app failed to appear in the Utilities menu list. I thought it would be automatic because it was in the Utilities folder. Since that is not true, I need to learn how/where to modify that menu list.

All help will be greatly appreciated.

Modbin, Thanks for the pointer. What gets me is that I had been reading that forum and your work yesterday and completely missed the fact that it was what I was looking for.

At the time, I was looking to see if there was a liveDVD I could use for backup/restore/maintenance work. I dismissed the idea of making my own as too advanced for my level of OSX experience. (very noob - about 1.5 weeks) :(
