It should be possible but when using a DVD you probably can't use the exact same command that you use to make a Chameleon boot CD.

 

Take a look at my boot CD how-to over at the VoodooProjects forum, find a post by me and follow the link in my signature, you will need cdboot.

I'm not sure you understood what I was trying to say,

so far the only methods I have found to install Lion involve creating a bootable usb stick.

I have no trouble doing this (with the help of installer apps) and can successfully install Lion on my pc.

I would like to be able to just restore the usb stick to a dvd but it's not easy :)

I'm sure it must be possible.

Let me know if it works or what you discover...I have no idea if it can work like that.

 

I know Lion Cache Cleaner (nice OS X multi tool from Alaska) can create an install DVD from the Lion App Store package but to use that you would still need a Chameleon boot CD or flash drive.
