There is no support for most of the SIS chipsets, especially ATA/IDE components, maybe with a PCI card.

Its a laptop....IDE ATA controllers are SIS PCI IDE Controllers

Previously, I installed mac on my laptop using "Cherry OS" (ie is just a simulator).

It loads darwin but doesn't boot keep asking for reboot and doens't boot in safe mode even.

I think there is some other problem..

regards,

Tallashk.

Cherry and other EMULATORS have their own emulated hardware and are independent from your real chipset.

Also VMWare that is not an Emulator (although a virtualizer) emulates some parts of a PC, like their IDE ports, sound card, video card, SCSI, etc.

Did you try what the Wiki said:

Native booting install works with some coaxing, ("Platform=X86PC -x" to install, just platform to boot)
