I had OSX lion installed on a thumb drive and so I turned my laptop to boot in ACHI mode and booted from the thumb drive, surprisingly everything loaded, but the keyboard and a few things were not working and it was slow.

I also noticed that it wasn't lion it was 10.6.6 and I know the thumb drive was lion so this was kinda weird.

I used kakewalk boot cd to load up and then I tried to boot from the OSX snow leopard disc and it crashes everytime!

Should I try I use "#####"? Then install disc? What I the best method?

It's a intel core2duo and 2 gb ddr2

Thanks!

first thing, count to ten.

i'm real new here but i'll try to explain this as simply as i can.

this is how i did it.

first find leppy 700m's boot image (google) (there's 2, one for 10.5.x and one for 10.6.x)

then find slic's 620/630/820 kext pack (google)

follow his instructions (leppy's)

install OSx from original Apple SnowLeopard disc

reboot with leppy's boot disc but once in the boot window select

the newly installed OSx with -v -x added

once you get through the registration immediately

install slic's extension pack

reboot

ta dah! welcome to Snow

now if someone could tell me how to update without a zillion KPs i'd do handstands.
