For example, I am trying to install a patch binary kext to the netkas's 6970 ati driver. http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,1117.0.html How do I go about installing the patched binary of kext? I discovered Kext Helper application to install...kext files...is that good? Thoughts and suggestions...I would really appreciate it. Gringo Vermelho Posted November 10, 2011 Share Posted November 10, 2011 That's because the patched binary replaces the original binary inside the kext. .kext files are regular folders but with a .kext extension and a different icon. Right click -> show contents and you can navigate a kernel extension like a folder.
