xtrememenace
I followed the steps posted on http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=265762 till step 2 successfully, I'm kinda stuck at step 2 itself. I'm not able to get past the 'beach-ball spinning logo' after the selection of Mac OS X base system from the chimera boot loader. After I select the same, i can see many terminal commands getting executed and after sometime I see the beach-ball logo spinning endlessly. I restarted my laptop and redid the entire step 2, still I'm unable to see any disk utility as mentioned in the tut as I can only see the spinning beach-ball once the terminal commands execution stops... For the step 1, i used a Snow Leopard X installed on virtual box running on Windows 7 ultimate x64.. Need help as how to get past the infinitely spinning beach ball logo! xx66stangxx
The link is coming up as an error repost it. Boot off of the disc with this command -v and take a screen shot after the commands load. xx66stangxx
For step one, make sure that you have a legally obtained Lion install .app. For: 9. Go back to Disk Utility, and open the Restore tab. 10. For Source, select the Mac OS X Base System from the lower left pane. For destination, select the partition you created and named on the flash drive. Try this: In Disk Utility right click BaseSystem.dmg and select 'Restore', Drag your formatted USB stick or drive into the 'destination' box, untick 'erase destination' and click 'Restore'. After that continue the rest of the guide for STEP 1.
