Chaviv
I have some minor experience with Hackintosh. I have a Toshiba Satellite C655-S5132. I have had some success with iAtkos. But I wonder if anyone else has had any luck with a similar arrangement? I am 10.6.3 and online with it now, but I have issues with sound and some images, as well as some programs that need openGL extensions. Any advice? With iAtkos running here is some more info: Hardware Overview: Model Name: MacBook Model Identifier: MacBook4,1 Processor Speed: 2.29 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 1 L2 Cache: 1 MB Memory: 3 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz Boot ROM Version: MB41.0073.B00 SMC Version (system): 1.30f3 Serial Number (system): SOMESRLNMBR Hardware UUID: 914E30F9-0774-5034-8162-212E9E953236 Display: Type: GPU Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x2a42 Revision ID: 0x0007 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024 x 768 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes And System Profiler says no built in audio, which there is. PookyMacMan
That dev ID is for the Intel GMA X4500. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/271642-new/#findComment-1768647 Share on other sites
Chaviv
Yes. Which, unfortunately, has no driver support as Mac quit using the Intel Centrino platform after Santa Rosa I believe. Too bad I don't know how to make drivers. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/271642-new/#findComment-1768989 Share on other sites

Gringo Vermelho
That would be a waste of time, there is no way to have hardware accelerated graphics on GMA 4 and 5. The best you can get is native resolution. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/271642-new/#findComment-1769157 Share on other sites
Chaviv
Probably right. Of course, I'm sure a lot of people said other things were impossible. But I'm not the person as my college was mainly Web Development, not hardcore programming.
