Headroadie2004 Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 Howdy I have a Dual 1.8 PowerPC G5 with a ATI X800 XT Mac edition. I am looking at using it for doing some media serving for live productions. I need to output to several projectors at one time. I need at least 3 video outputs. I was wondering if any of y'all know of a better video card that is PCI-X or PCI based, NOT PCI-e that I could flash and get to run in here along with the AGP card I have. I would need one card to run the Monitors for the interface and the other card to output the video to the projectors. demik475 Posted November 5, 2011 Share Posted November 5, 2011 The better I Got working on my old G4/G5 was a flashed Radeon 7000 PCI. You get a standard PC Radeon 7000 PCI (should be plenty cheap these days), flash it with a PowerPC ROM and it's all good. Radeon 9200 PCI was ok too, but it was more like russian roulette, some card working and some bricked. Radeon 7000 was success almost everytime. it's a been a while since I've done that, but I still might have theses ROMs somewhere.
