The speaker never shut up when i plug the headphone jack, so if a wanna be quite and loud in the buss, i cant! if a wanna... i dunno.... view a movie at 3:30AM, i cant, cuz the sound it`s gonna be in my earphones AND my speaker... so... what do u think? My card is a SoundMax (AC97) and i`m running 10.4.7 (updated with JaS update intel only without 10.4.7 kext`s, they went from 10.4.4) Regards. dlbogdan Posted September 16, 2006 Share Posted September 16, 2006 I have the same problem with my HP nc4200 and Mac OS X 10.4.3 (yea... the old one! ) The thing is that the speaker should be electronically switched off by the driver (the win driver knows how to do it but not the Mac), and not by an electrical contact like in the good old days. No sollution for this... unless you wanna mess with the hardware inside your notebook and put a HW switch to turn off the speakers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
