I'm following the guides and I've looked through the wiki, and searched the forum, but it seems like I'm either phrasing it wrong, or I'm just reading what others have said incorrectly, because I doubt my problem is new. I'm installing 10.4.6 JaS, and everything is fine, up until it has to reboot after it finishes installing. It will just hang there. And if I just manually reboot, OSX doesn't show up, it boots straight to windows, and if I use the install disk as a startup disk to get to Darwin, it only lets me install and not boot off of the OSX partition thats already there. I have XP on one harddrive, and I'm trying to install OSX86 onto a second harddrive.

I'm only installing the intel patches, and only the sse2 patch, none of the amd's or anything else.

I did when I made the partition in the Disk Utility unless i did it wrong

I went into the terminal,

diskutil list

my partition was disk1s1

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk1

f 1

write

then it said it couldn't write them until the next restart, and i said yes,

exit

exit

did i do something wrong?
