a little help? ideas anyone? booting into it using chain0. i don't think i've set the partition as active... how can i easily check and change this?

ps. sorry for literally taking pics of my screen. it's all i could really do.

ps. once at this screen, the cursor stays solid, and there's no signs of hdd or processor activity. i even let it sit for 10 minutes just to give it a try.

It looks like you tired to install the sse3 kernel.you need the sse2 patched kernel for it to work on your system.

where can i find a copy of the sse2 patched?

also, i used the jas 10.4.6 dvd...

i thought it was already patched for sse2 and sse3 processors? i made sure to install them under custom install options.
