You should get through sound through the AppleAzalia kext. 0x10ec0880 is the default in there as well... you just may need to get your audio hub dev/ven and put it in the controller. look in the drivers section of the forum and you should see a recent thread with more info for you. I',m betting your dev/ven for the controller is 27d88086, but i can't say for sure since I don't know your system.
