r00tb33r
Hello folks, I'd like some of the more knowledgeable members here to verify some facts for me. Fact 1: Nvidia Mac Edition cards exist. For example 8800GT and GTX 285 which you may find inside a Mac Pro, or purchase one to put one in a Mac Pro. Are these cards recognized correctly on our hackintosh builds without modification? Fact 2: Flashing of PC Nvidia cards into Mac Edition cards when possible. References: http://forums.hexus.net/apple-mac/133400-m...-flash-mod.html http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=445488 http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?94...K-on-MAC-PRO-08 Or better yet, a Google search for something like "8800gt mac flash" will bring even more discussion and success on the topic. Now, if those PC cards become natively supported on Mac, shouldn't they be natively supported on our hackintoshes since on Intel architecture (x86) both Mac and PC talk to devices on the PCI the same way. Should these Mac Edition and flashed cards just work on a hackintosh? I kindly ask for answers with certainty on the subject. Thanks in advance! eberts
Since we don't have any EFI it's still necessary to to inject those values (I have EFI string in com.apple.Boot.plist). Apart from that my GT 120 (Mac Pro) works out of the box.
