philbagg
Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster. I'm trying to get OS X 10.6 running on my PC, with great difficulty. I initially used i@kos s3 v2, and was able to install OS X successfully, but it wouldn't boot. I kept getting some sort of "No DSDT found" or something, and a few lines after that. But I couldn't read any of them because they flashed up so fast and the computer instantly rebooted! The DSDT error was the only thing I saw. So I tried the ##### method. Burned ##### to a disc, already had a Snow Leopard (retail) disc. Configured my (Award - version F2) BIOS (to the best of my knowledge), and booted into #####. From there, I ejected the disc, and put the SL DVD in, waited until it stopped reading, hit F5, and booted into it. Exact same error (DSDT and a few other lines - then reboot). I tried various commands from ##### (busratio=20 , -f, -v, -x, -s, cpus=1 etc.) but no luck what-so-ever. Any ideas?? I've attached a .txt file with my specs (pretty much just exported from CPU-Z). If anybody needs any more details (not sure if I need to give any), just gimme a shout and I'll give them! Thanks very much for taking the time to read this. nic.mroc
Did you used ##### Legacy? Because your CPU is not supported. The problem is the kernel you are using because you have an Amd CPU. I kinda figured that out I'm using this guide at the moment: http://geeknizer.com/install-snow-leopard-on-amd/ Hopefully this'll do the trick.
