I`ve tried to install the Jas 10.4.7 Amd/intel Image on my sytem:

Ga-K8N Ultra 9

Athlon 64 3200+

1x Sata Seagate 80GB

1x ODD Samsung DVD

1x ODD Plextor DVD-R/RW

After booting with the Image, i can format the hdd an can select the hdd as tagret where the OS should be installed.

I also selected the Jas Patch to be installed and after i hit continue, the os begins to install.

But at 2% of the Installationprocess the system stopps.

I can move the mouse with out problem, but the installation did not continue an i can not abbort the installation. The odd slows also down and @ 2% the hdd is also quite.

I tried the second partition of the hdd, but this time it also stopps @ 2%

I downloaded the Image once again, but the same problem occours.

Any idea?

I also selected the Jas Patch to be installed

I'm not sure this is contributing to your problem, but I do see an error you made.

You cannot just select the whole "JaS Patch" to be installed.

You must click the little arrow to the left of the patch to reveal individual packages. Choose only AMD packages for your processor and any of the other patches below them that apply.

ok, i really dont want to be that guy, but is it possilble that someone can send me the osx install disk (jas/deadmoo, it doesnt matter). I have tried downloading via other means (bt/newsgroups) but my internet is very restictive (its through a university and they block everything). So i was wondering if anyone could give a direct http link or transfer it to me via ftp. I just want to try and get it running before i buy a macbook in the spring.

If anyone could do this i would be extremely grateful.

Thanks,

Travis

ok thank you for the info, but it still doesn`t works, the installation stops allways @ 2%.

Should i also apply the sse2 and the sse3 patch for my athlon 64 which supports sse2 and sse3?

tonight i am gonna try a normal ata hard-drive to install, this is gonna be my last try :-)

no you either select sse2 or sse3 but not both...if your processor supports sse3 just select that one...if that doesn't work try to reinstall with just sse2

During install, you could see what the installer is doing.

I don't remember exactly the name, but i believe it's in 'window' menu, you could print the installation log.

It may help you determine what the installer is doing and why it hangs....
