Spazi
Hi guys, I installed Mac osx 10.6.3 on my Dell XPS 8000. After fiddling around a lot of things have been working fine! Ethernet doesn't work, but this is a know issue with XPS 8000 and OSX. I have windows 7 as first priority when turning on the PC and after editing the com.apple.Boot.plist my PC finds the HDD and boots OSX up fine! My ONLY main problem is that if I boot windows 7, my bios HAS to be set to ATA If I want to boot OSX I have to set my bios to RAID I have to swap between those two settings everytime, it's bloddy anoying. If anyone know what I can do, It would help me a lot! my bios drivers does not support AHCI which is the main issue! Gringo Vermelho
RAID implies AHCI. Use google to find a tutorial on how to get Windows 7 working in AHCI/RAID mode. There is lots of information on this available. AFAIK all you need to do is install some drivers and make a change in the registry, Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/269602-dell-xps-8000-ataraid-issue/#findComment-1756364 Share on other sites
