dudies69
Forgive my ignorance guys. I have installed OSX 10.4.7 and I read somewhere that if I wanted to burn with my non mac burner (Pioneer A04) I would need to patch OSX. Is this so and if so does anyone know where I can get it from? Cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26944-burn-with-non-mac-dvd-writer/ Share on other sites
cbmkgd
If by osx 10.4.7 you mean the jas or (myzar updated), then it should burn ok, or at least test it before to make sure. I didn't have to do anything else than install with the hacked osx install dvd and I can burn alright. Cheers Go to System Profiler (blue Apple Menu -> About This Mac -> More Info) Click on Disc Burning on the left and see if your drive is recognized on the right. If it isn't recognized, Google for "patchburn".
