Why does everyone who want to install OS X want to use a distribution? I hate distributions because they install so much {censored} until you don't know what will screw up your computer.

 

From your lspci.

 

Chipset: Intel 5 Series

SATA Controller: AHCI Mode (good!)

Audio: ???

Graphics: Nvidia

Ethernet: BCM57780

Wireless: AR9287

 

You left out the most important information about your computer which is the CPU, Audio chipset and Graphics model. Reply with that information and maybe i can help you.
