  1. I believe i have mentioned on how to obtain your DSDT before. You don't need anybody's else. Get em yourself. Look at my answer above. For the audio kext, do a lspci -nn in Ubuntu and find out what Codec you have. Webcam is usually supported, no idea for that. Microphone is definitely related to your Audio Kext. What Ethernet Chip does your computer have? and Yes there are a lot of reasons why you would want to use a DSDT. People in this thread need to provide more information. @All the Sandy Bridge Users I'm not sure about your Kernel Panics but anyone of you give me a direct link to your bios files?
  2. Not too sure about sleep. Haven't touched OS X in awhile and am intending to go and reinstall it on my laptop today and see if i can get any more progress done. I mentioned that there is an issue with the Graphics Driver. However, i can't pinpoint the problem as i don't have adequate skills. I've tried solving the problem by modifying the framebuffer and stuff but that doesn't seem to help. You have no idea how many hours i've spent trying to get Graphics working. :S EDIT: I also found out that my guide had a minor error and have since edited. Anyone else with the Envy and has issues with installing please do post here. We need more Envy users! EDIT 2: Interesting. This is my own guide and i can't seem to get it to work. lmao. Weird. The Installation for Lion stops at a white screen with the loading cursor. Gonna see if i can fix it. EDIT 3: Nevermind. Been too long away from OS X that there are a few kinks i would need to remind. Now to solve why the hell am i getting USB errors when the DSDT is supposed to solve it.
  3. Komano

    IDT HDA audio kext

Unfortunately i never found a way to properly patch this Codec. But i think i did manage to get it working with VoodooHDA though.
  4. Komano

Snow Leopard 10.6.5 on HP Envy 17

Or you can be like me and patch the bios itself. . http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=268987&st=20
  5. When Apple decides to switch over to AMD instead of Intel. I don't know much about How AMD will work but i don't think its that easy.
  6. I can't add patches to your file as i'm not sure what patches will help and how to do it like Taptun or MaLd0n. The most i can do it make sure that you have 0 Errors, Warnings and Remarks when you compile it.
  7. It's not that we don't want to help you. We CAN'T help you. There is a difference. CAN'T and Don't WANT to has a big difference. First of all, you're on a Sandy Bridge, this Mammoth thread isn't meant for Sandy Bridge CPU's at all. I don't have a Sandy Bridge laptop either and therefore i can't help you with whatever problem you have. Unless you want to ship your whole laptop to someone and let the person figure out, you're on your own. So would you please stop complaining about no one helping you and spend the time doing more research on solving your problems? Also just so you know, you're not the only one having Graphic Resolution. i have the same problem and still haven't been able to find a fix for it.
  8. I believe the bios might be the same. post the link for the original bios from the HP website.
  9. Hey guys, I highly reccomend both of you not to use Mammoth's DSDT's. They are only to be used if really necessary. You can get your DSDT by downloading Ubuntu and running it via a Live CD . Enable Wifi and download the script from the thread below and run it with sudo permissions. If you have anymore errors, do post back. Cheers http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=215844
  10. We don't know what's your problem that's why we can't help. ^^ Tried a USB Keyboard? I'm on a AR5B93. Are you sure your bluetooth depends on the wifi card? o-o
  11. We don't know how to help, hence we're not replying. Don't expect us to do anything for you. Go figure and try it out yourself. Of course unless you want to give me one laptop that has the same specifications as yours. Download Scroll Reverser http://pilotmoon.com/scrollreverser/
  12. Kext's aren't hard to figure out. You can get Battery Percentage working with another Kext. Look into the Releases and Updates section i think. It was by gsl? Not sure, can't remember. Updating chameleon would just be by replacing the boot file in /. Wifi won't work unless of course Apple starts switching to Intel Wifi Cards or someone completes a driver. @ChrispyPatt Not too sure then.
