netfox
I installed iAtkos L1 on my perfect-working-snowleopard-computer. But after a successful install and boot I ran into a few (instability) problems. These are a few of my problems: - When opening Final Cut X the software is during 'Loading Compressor Support' hanging (still with the opening screen open). It goes on forever. - When using Adobe Download Manager it becomes non responsive when selecting a destination folder. - Often Finder crashes. After relaunching Finder it becomes unavailable. Reboot is the only option. - Few other random crashes. What could be the problem/solution? My specs: GA-P35-DS3, Q6600, ATI5700 (but in info it shows as ATI5000) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/269150-unstable-system-with-iatkos-l1/ Share on other sites

Reboot is the only option. - Few other random crashes. What could be the problem/solution? My specs: GA-P35-DS3, Q6600, ATI5700 (but in info it shows as ATI5000) Lion has a lot of performance and stability issues, even on real Macs and FCX is not properly working in it as of 10.7.1 ( like iMovie and iPhoto, QuickTime X 10.1 also crashing often ). The graphics drivers in 10.7.1 are not optimal and the OpenGL framework seems to be buggy. All in all Lion is still not stable. Lots of kernel panics can happen in 10.7 and 10.7.1 The problem is to find out if it is Lion itself or the Hackintosh thing. 10.7.2beta shows that the most bugs will go away, because it replaces half of Lions internals. So Install 10.7.2 whenever it will be released on Apples Download site. ( Tonight is a high chance, when Apple introduces iOS5 and iCloud, cause 10.7.2 has iCloud in it ) . Also FinalCut X needs to be version 10.0.1, Motion and compressor 4.0.1 and 5.0.1 respectevly also the updated versions. Just look for updates in the MacAppStore, they are all completely new app packages, specific tuned for Lion. ( FCX itself had also issues before, not related to Lion; but Lion + FC X 10.0 = trouble ). In general you must avoid all Lion incompatible software and have all your kexts updated . If you can't wait or get this working, you must go back to SnowLeopard, it is at the moment the only stable OSX.
