you see, following this tutorial here (just replace ModUSB with ModCD and the boot-up codes with "-force64") I have updated fully to 10.6.8 and got my graphics card to work (AMD Radeon HD 6700 series) and every time i open an application such as google chrome, minecraft, hamachi, iTunes, and a couple others i get the "iTunes unexpectedly stopped..." - since i have an AMD machine i use legacy kernel, i'm sure i'm missing some patch. so does anybody know what patches i need? or know how to find what i need? any help is appreciated.

My specs are:

AMD Anthlon™ II X64 620 Processor with 2.61GHz (4 Cores)

with a AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series Video card

along with a M4A78T-E Motherboard

-Clayf700

I have and AMD Phenom and a nvidia graphics card. I had a not so wonderful few trials and errors (oh about ten!) getting snow leopard installed and running. I could not get my system running at all without using the following flags at the boot prompt.

-v arch=i386 -force64 pmVersion=23

Type all of it as is, you may omit the pmversion=23 (Depends on your setup). The -v will allow you to see if there is something wrong at startup. If this fails, just try staying at 10.6.7, as I have had issues with 10.6.8.(Apps randomly crashing and relaunching mostly daemons) I am getting ready to reload a backup of 10.6.7 to test the update again, as apple has released 2 different 10.6.8 Combo updates a 10.6.8 and a version 1.1. I think I applied the first one. I have no issues with 10.6.7, and have been with it for awhile. There are allot of changes in it to make it "ready for Lion", nothing really worth mention and I am waiting for a 10.6.9, to be out soon.
