FrankJPartida
I was wondering is it possible to swap out the darwin bootloader for the chameleon bootloader. I used kalyway 10.5.2 to install Mac OS X Leopard on my Dell Inspiron e1705 Almost everything works on it except headphones, and sd card reader (if you know how to fix please tell me! ) Here's specs: v10 BIOS update 1GB RAM (soon I'm upgrading to 2GB because it's only $20) 150 GB hard drive Intel Video Card Broadcom Wireless card Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/268732-how-to-swap-bootloaders-leopard/ Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
No problem, just install Chameleon on top. An SD card reader driver exists but I don't remember where it is, and I'm not sure if it will work on Leopard. Try looking for it in the 'new releases and updates' forum. FrankJPartida
Thanks! but one question... do I have to run install again if I update to Lion? or will Lion be bootable with my specs? (after RAM upgrade) Thanks for your reply! you saved me from an ugly bootloader! Gringo Vermelho
You need to be at at least 10.6.6 to update to Lion unless you have a way do a clean install. Yea I already put the bootable install on a separate partition and now I'm waiting on my RAM to come in (I ordered it today) I just wanted to know if my graphics etc. would be compatible. Thanks for replying! Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/268732-how-to-swap-bootloaders-leopard/#findComment-1752215 Share on other sites
