lgevo
I get this error when using torrent programs.. sometimes right away sometimes hours later. I have no issues with other software. I have used reason and garageband for hours. I have played games. I have downloaded large files from file hosting sites. Watch and stream videos. I have used ichat. Torrents are the only thing that causes this. I am using Snow leopard 10.6 which i upgraded to 10.6.8. I have don the AMD patch to the library. I am running in osx in 32 bit mode. My hack is MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte GA-ma770-ud3 CPU TYPE: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Processor CPU SPEED: 3.02 GHz SYSTEM MEMORY: 4 GB VIDEO CARD MODEL: ATI Radeon HD 4850 with 512 of ram.. I was thinking maybe its the amount of ram running in 32 bit mode but i am pretty sure its says cpu.. any help? Kingdomseed
Any torrent program does this? Or just one torrent program? Which one do you use? lgevo
I tried a bunch utorrent, vuze, transmission and xtorrent. For some reason Vuze seemed to crash alot less then the rest. This is the strangest problem i ever had with osx on pc. unimatrix725
I really do not like this 10.6.8, but thats another story. Have you tried checking the console app and navigating to(on left side) /private/var/log then click on the one that says system.log . Then scroll thru and look for the name of your torrent app. There you may get an idea or a clue that you can use to google for. It is a good place to see what is happening, I was shocked the first time I used it.
