izon
I have installed both mac osx and windows 7 on the same hard drive. I only allocated 30GB for mac osx and now I have a fully functionaly mac osx system running. Now I need to extend this mac partition. How to do that? Gringo Vermelho
Because you have opted to install OS X on an MBR drive, you can't do that with the standard tools that ship with Windows or OS X without formatting or deleting data first. You can probably do something with this though: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/268595-how-to-extend-mac-partition/#findComment-1751212 Share on other sites
izon
Thanks for your reply. I am going to get it a try. Do you have any tutorial about this kind of situation? Gringo Vermelho
Yeah there is plenty of information on this subject here already, it's a common question. Just type something like "resize MBR" (without the quotes) in the search box above, you'll see. If you install OS X on a separate, GUID partitioned drive you can run Disk Utility and resize, create and manipulate partitions any way you want.
