I'm doing OK with the deadmo install using cpus=1. Without specifying the use of 1 CPU there was skipping and sync problems. Apparently there are settings that can be played with but I'm shooting for getting a full working install before playing with the cpus.

I do have a question though?

I have the AMD Turion 64 X2. CPU-Z reports it has SSE3. When I boot Mac it shows SSE and SSE2 during the verbose startup but not SSE3. Anyone know if that's because of the SSE2 patch? If I removed it (and how?) would I be able to use SSE3?

You need to apply the SSE3 patch for AMD, then you're good to go. myzar dvd has it, but 10.4.7 jas repack doesn't have it.

As for AMD Turion and OSx86, as long as you don't have SATA drive, then you'll be fine.
