nkeroulis
I'm trying to install Snow Leopard (10.6.3) using the iATKOS_S3_version2 DVD but i keep getting these errors: EBIOS read error: Error 0x01 Block 0x8bad40 Sectors 0 EBIOS read error: Error 0x01 Block 0x8bad40 Sectors 0 EBIOS read error: Error 0x01 Block 0x8bad40 Sectors 0 EBIOS read error: Error 0x01 Block 0x8bad40 Sectors 0 EBIOS read error: Error 0x01 Block 0x8bad40 Sectors 0 I have previously tried using ##### and i made it to the installation screen where i found out that my Macbook's Pro Snow Leopard DVD is of no use. Do i need to buy the retail Snow Leopard DVD with iATKOS or not?If not where is the problem? My Specs: MB: Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 CPU: Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.44GHz GFX: ATI HD 3870 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/268255-iatkos_s3_version2-dvd-ebios-read-errors/ Share on other sites
jasjeet
Try to quickly eject and reinsert the drive just as Ebios error appears. Also make sure Bios is running default settings with AHCI enabled and any extra features such as Floppy disabled.
