Hi I have a bit of a problem with the restart after installing OSx86 on my HDD. The install goes along fine and restarts my comp ok but when it tries to boot for the first time it gets to the line that says "Start Darwin" then restarts with no explanation as to why. I was using the -v and -f codes but to no avail. I have also tried using these and the options -x, cpus=2, busratio=20 etc but no joy :D . Also when using the disk to install it I had to use the codes -v, cpus=2 and busratio=20 to actually start into the install, otherwise it would just restart.

My specs are as follows:

Motherboard: Gigabyte H55M-S2H

CPU: Intel Core i3 530 @ 2.93GHz

RAM: 4GB DDR3 ( Could this be the problem? Seen on another topic that it wouldnt boot with 4GB only 2GB)

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 520

HDD: 200GB IDE

I have tried installing with only the base system iPC selected to see if it would work but it didn't. The Kernels I have tried it with are PS/2 Keyboard Fix as I have a PS/2 Keyboard but a USB Logitech mouse and Natit for my GPU as I wasnt sure what one I should pic for my specific graphics card. This however also did not work.

Could someone please suggest any of the Kernels that maybe would work better or the ones that I should be using? Also could someone please tell me as to why it keeps restarting after the install and how to fix it please?

Thanks in Advance

Ok I have tried installing Snow OSx Universal but the problem now is it won't even boot into the install it just says starting Darwin then restarts. I have tried using the tags that I used to start the Leopard install but they aren't working. Also it is on RW disk could that be the problem? Could someone please advise me on how I can fix this and stop it restarting?

Thanks in Advance

David
