coolbgdog
I was trying to fix the itunes app by doing the coregraphics.bak thing in the terminal and that was supposed to fix it but now I cant load up osx. It just sits at the grey screen with the spinning circle all the time. Since I did that osx doesnt load no more. Is there any other way to fix this? crypto55
Again, do not try this at home :-/. I did, and I just solved the problem by reinstalling OSX. I have not heard, as of yet, any fixes to this problem. Please post more information about the system you used to install, ie what distrib u used, and if you have SSE3 or not. turbogizzmo
are you all unraring the graphics file first than renaming it? Cuz it worked like a charm for me.....???

Cuz it worked like a charm for me.....??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I forgot to unrar it and I have a sse2 pc. It runs very fast and some safari crashes but I use deerpark but after that itunes dont work. Is there any command I could do at the darwin screen to take it out or something? Does your pc have sse3 or 2? I dont really want to redo the dd and drive thing over but if thats what to do then I have no choice.

coolbgdog
I fixed this problem. Download latest macdrive 6 then it will let you see the osx drive on windows then go to the folder that has the coregraphics file and put the decompressed rar file thats 9 mb and rename it coregraphics.bak and rename coregraphics.i386 to just "coregraphics". I rebooted and it worked!

fictionpixels
I have the same problem. "I can only boot in safe boot". What is this decompressed rar file thats 9 mb? thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have a dual boot system. On one drive I have xp running and ---------macdrive 6---- as recommended on the previous post. On the second drive I have osx86. When osx86 loads a screen appears that tells me to reboot. The only way I can get into the operating system is if I boot into safe mode by hitting the -x option at the darwin screen when the pc boots. I am hoping to boot in natively not in safe mode. Can you tell me how to do this? The previous post suggests downloading a -------------decompressed rar file thats 9 mb---------------. What is the name of this file? . Where can I download this file? What do I do with this file? Thanks !
