HD5670 - Lion - Not working!

Hi,

wanted to upgrade my old "Mac" System with a new Graphicsadapter.

 

Current Setup:

ASRock Conroe1333-D667 (Upadted Bios to latest Rev)

Intel GMA 950 (internal)

2GB Ram

VGA Monitor 1440x900

HDMI LG TV (FullHD)

 

 

The GMA950 has a bit problems with all Lion graphics effects and i wanted to connect my mac to my new TV so i thought i upgrade my card. Besides that the System and the Card work perfect. It detects the VGA Monitor with the correct resolution

 

Got a XFX 5670 for a good price, and it was one of the few modern cards that only used one slot (i have a mini PCIe to PCIe 1x Adapter right next to the card for Wifi)

 

Anyway, the card arrived, i connected it though a DVI-VGA Adapter to my monitor but my old system wont boot up. After the Apple Boot Logo it either sits with Display off or scrambled screen (framebuffer remains)

I Also tried DVI only (with the monitor of a Friend) HDMI only and HDMI and DVI-VGA).

Its the same Problem.

I tried GE=Yes/No ans several AtiConfig Options (Vervet, Uakari, Eulemur, Hoolock, Baboon, ...)

 

Still the same, either no Output at all or scrambled screen.

 

 

I thought it was the card, returned it and got a ASUS 5670, reported to work OOB on Lion.

Connected it and it was the same result. Either scrambled screen or no output.

 

Can anyone help me?

 

I have a working (atleast with GMA950) Lion install (myhack Method) i removed my dsdt.aml (for the gma to work properly) before trying the cards. I also tried to boot the myhack Flashdrive (for Lion install) with the same Results.

 

-x Option doesnt change a thing

 

-v Option reports no errors (until the screen goes off or scrambled)

 

My current Chameleon Version is 1332, but i also tried older Version and Chimera.

Windows (btw) works with no problems with both cards!

The internal Card is deactivated and isnt working!

So with this new card i cant even boot the System which is very annoying....

 

Thanks for any help, dont want to try out even more cards!
