  1. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

Thanks for the info... strange, edited it exactly like its described in the pdf, well as far as i can tell. Could you send me the correctly modified Platforms.xml (digital audio removed) as reference? i want to really understand what i did wrong...
  2. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

sorry, you are right the attached zip contains: - Info.plist_patched (AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext) - modified, Black-Lineout removed as substitude - Platforms.xml_patched (AppleHDA.kext/Resources) - infalted and modified to have manual selection Front/Rear Audio, Black Lineout removed - Info.plist_orig (AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext) - original from auto patched AppleHDA - Platforms.xml.zlib_orig - original from auto patched AppleHDA With the autopatched version everyhtings works fine, but i really need to select Front/Headphones and Rear Lineout manually, atm it only works with unplugging the headphones. After the manual patch it just adds another headphone device as output option but not functional, default (rear Green) Lineout still only works if i unplug my headphones from the front Audio Ports. Also my Front Mic Port wont work anymore after the manual patch. after getting stuck with the ports reconfiguration on osx i found a work arround, using front output and rear black output on OSX and then remapping the main lineout on windows to the black port. This works for now because i only have stereo speakers, but i would love to figure it out on OSX so i can use surround sound in the future ALC892_modified-originals.zip
  3. Hi, i have a strange problem with my osx installation right now. Everytime a Drive gets mounted it adds a number at the end of the name that counts up every remount. For Example, i have a USB Stick which is labled "USB Stick". OSX automounts it as "USB STICK 2", then after remounted "USB STICK 3" and so on. This is kind annoying because it also happens on my builin NTFS Drives, filepath change every remount. I dont know when exactly when it first happened, but i noticed it first after the installation of ntfs-3g and my manual edit of the /etc/fstab. I installed ntfs-3g (Brew.sh method) and edited /etc/fstab to stop the automount of 2 Windows System Paritions. /etc/fstab: UUID=22B40C6E-845A-4754-A6FE-64A926609973 none ntfs rw,noauto LABEL=System-reserviert none ntfs ro,noauto 0 0 Anyidea how to fix this?
  4. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

Ok i now tried to use the xcode plist edtior but still the same results: only Speaker output with headphones unplugged, no front mic anymore. Can some help me out?
  5. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

Ok tried it again, but with the same results as before. I did exactly whats described in the pdf. checked everything twice but still same result. Two Headphones as Devices, one works and switches to internal speaker if headphones unplugged. Front Mic not working anymore. Can someone try this for me? I dont know what else to try.... Its in ALC892, Audio_ID-1, PathMapID 892. Using a modified 10.9.2 AppleHDA.kext patched using this. Black Audio Port or Digital could be removed as substitute.
  6. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

Found it, it was 9. in my pdf, maybe old version online at https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALCInjection well im still stuck, i tried this now several times and always end up with headphones working, speaker only if headphones unplugged, Front Mic Port not working. I used your pdf and did exactly the steps detailed in 3. Manual Internal Speaker and Headphone Selection and 9. 2x HD3K/HD4K HDMI Audio/Delete Audio Output Device. I deleted item 4 (blackport) or in my case this would be item 5 because i duplicated another item right? Then searched for every hex string and replaced all those in the info.plist of the HardwareConfigDriver.kext (8-9 if i remember correctly). Put everything back together and installed it using Kext Utility. After the manually patched kext i end up with this: Output Devices: Headphones, Headphones, Line-Out, Digital Out Input Devices: Line-In, internal Mic The first headphones device works fine, all other dont (didnt tried optical out). both mic ports dont work as well (worked beforce manual patch). When i unplug my headphones the first headphone device turns into internal speaker and the speaker works fine as well. My stereo speakers are connected to the rear green port. My headphones+mic are connected to the internal/front ports. Can someone help me here? im really stuck and dont know what else to try.
  7. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

just noticed the same thing... (ALC892 + HDAEnabler)
  8. Well i dont know what i did wrong on my first installation. Sleep now also works oob, maybe its related to the now working gpu? just made breakfast and when i came back to the system, power led blinks and all fans off. pressed anykey on the keyboard and the system wake up fine. This System kind of becomes the perfect hackintosh the more i play arround with it... i cant believe that so many stuff works oob... only thing missing right now is multimonitor support.... UPDATE: Got multimonitor working with GE=No, see first post for more details Updated osx86project.org 10.9.2 HCL with my Components: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.9.2
  9. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

thanks, i tried the method discribed in the pdf but it didnt work.. maybe i messed up (used Plistedit pro) but i also had one problem with your instructions. all the steps for the ALC 892 seem to be correct, atleast everything went exactly as described in the pdf. But at the beginning it said that an existing audio device must be deleted (see procedure 10) but where is procedure 10?
  10. Mavericks Realtek ALC AppleHDA Audio

i just installed 10.9.2 and got my ALC892 onboard audio chip working using this method. (HDAEnabler.kext + modified applehda.kext) Btw thanks for the work! I only have one problem at the moment. For online gaming i have a headset connected to my front audio jacks all the time, in windows i use a small app to switch between the default output device and it works fine this way (switch betwenn headphones and rear speakers). This doesnt seem to work with osx at the moment. Sound works fine from speaker put there is no audio at all if i select the other output device, when i disconnect the headphones the audio plays fine through my speakers. but i cant get it to work with the headphones still connected. Any idea?
  11. I feel a bit stupid right now after messing arround with the kext so much i did a fresh installation, while backing up my kexts for the components i remembered the problems i had with the dual monitor config back when i had my old hackintosh (HD6850). Now it hit me, i had an HDMI cable connected all the time... so i did a fresh installation only with my main monitor connected through an miniDP - DVI Adapter. i put the myhack installer back in its original state (AMD kexts back in /S/L/E) and what do you know... installer booted fine with full resolution. After the installation i replaced the kernel and rebooted... (GraphicsEnabler=Yes) and got a KP right away. Tried it with No and the system started up fine with Graphics working as well (HD 7xxx in System Profile). After getting the other components to work i tried to boot another time with GE=Yes and what do you know, this time it did start up fine. System Profile now shows the whole Name: AMD Radeon HD 7970 X-Edition 3072 MB The System seems to run perfectly right now, only sleep is missing (Display off works, but HDD/CPU/Fans stay on). PS: Speedstep also worked fine without the ssdt.aml... EDIT: Updated first post with current status.
  12. Hi, installed the the system with myhack 3.3.1 and the latest Appstore Maverick Update (10.9.2). Also needed to patch the kernel like described here and booted the installer with only one monitor connected (miniDP) Hardware: ASrock B85M-Pro4 Intel Core i5 4570 XFX Radeon HD7970 16GB DDR3 Ram What works: Audio (ALC892) - using the patched AppleHDA Method Network (I217v) - using the latest AppleIntelE1000e.kext Sleep - works oob (atleast with the patched kernel) Intel SpeedStep - works oob (atleast with the patched kernel) USB 2.0 - works oob USB 3.0 - works oob WIP: Intel IGP Graphics: Not tested! AMD - Graphics: Booting with GraphicsEnabler=No --> "AMD Radeon HD 7xxx 3072 MB" in System Profile - Multimonitor works (atleast miniDP + 2. DVI Port), 1. DVI didnt work, havent tried HDMI/VGA. - Steam Games work fine (Portal, Limbo, SuperMeatBy) Booting with GraphicsEnabler=Yes --> Full Device Name in System Profile - No Multimintor support with the ports i could try - Steam Games wont start This works for me atm... HDMI would be nice in the future tho... ------------------------------------ My /Extra Folder looks like this: /Extra/Extension: - AppleIntelE1000e.kext - FakeSMC.kext - lspcidrv.kext - Patched_10.7_AppleRTC.kext org.chameleon.Boot.plist /Extra/RemovedExtensions... ------------------------------------- I havent created/patched a DSDT.aml yet, everything seems to work oob without it. My chameleon boot.plist (GE=No, KernelCache=Yes, PCIRoot=0) Thanks!
  13. Well just wanted to copy the modified kernel on the USB stick from my Windows System and no luck. I tried MacDrive and Paragon HFS+ but both only mount the stick as a Drive labeled EFI (200MB). I partitioned the stick this time with GUID+HFS+, before i had it MBR. i guess this is the problem... Any way to access the stick without a running OSX System? EDIT: Well i tried a linux live cd and could access the files, switched the kernel and removed the AMD kexts from /S/L/E but now the installer hangs again at: BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 no such file or directory (GraphicsEnabler=No) well i will try to create a new stick again the next time i get the chance at work, format the stick MBR PartitionTable and will try to do exactly the same steps as before when it almost booted up fine.
  14. Thanks, i tried this first today at worked fine on the pcs at work! Will try it at home later..
  15. Hi, I was running a myHack Installation 10.8.X on my old system before, then my MB died and i got a completely new system. Now having some free time i tried to install osx86 again.. Current System: ASRock B85M-Pro4 Intel Core i5 4570 16GB DDR3 1600 Ram AMD Radeon HD 7970 (XFX R7970 DD Ghz Edition) The Stick is stock myHack 3.3.1, no extra kext to /E/E, no dsdt.aml, no smbios.plist. Im using latest myHack (3.3.1) + Maveryick InstallESD.dmg from a original iMac, downloaded through the appstore. I used the System at Work so i dont have access to it all the time. Well after several Problems i finally got the Installer Stick to boot. First i had the Haswell Kernel Problem (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/293503-haswell-early-reboot-mavericks-locked-msrs-and-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq/) but got it booting past the instant reboot with the modified kernel Then i ended up at a blank white Screen (after the Apple Boot Screen), i remembered this from my old System (AMD Radeon HD6850), removed all the AMD related kexts from the installer and now finally got into the Installer GUI. But then, after selecting the Installer language the installer crashed with the Log file i have attached to this post. The funny thing is, its looks like the errors from when i tried the stick first on a Dell Optiplex 7010 (i3, 3XXX) at work. I havent changed any BIOS Settings on this PC. I just wanted to see if the stick boots fine before taking it home... though it would be HW/Bios Settings related. Well now i wonder maybe the install files are broken? or is it after all my system configuration? The Installer Crashes but is fully responsive, i could attach a USB Stick, format it and save the log file on it. Just wondering where i should start troubleshooting, my System or create a new myHack stick at work with a redownloaded Mavericks system? (maybe even try a different usb stick) Thanks for any usefull replys! install_log.txt
