Snow
Hi guys, Got an issue here where Lion freezes sometimes (pc running but screen goes standby) when using sleep or shutdown. I don't mind doing a manual reset or shutdown but every time when I get back into osx my PSD files are corrupted (yellow lines across the image mostly) At least the ones I was working on (and saved) during the session Since I'm into photography I cannot afford this to happen. A friend told me it could have something to do with PS still in memory when the forced reboot/shutdown occurs and it somehow tries to revert back or gets corrupted. Any ideas lads? Thx in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/267194-photoshop-files-corrupt-after-forced-reboot/ Share on other sites
navjot_m
Hey there, I am having the same exact issue, even if I exit PS and Lightroom fully before manually restarting the computer. Usually my Mac is responsive, but I will have to reboot because of software update or other reasons, but mac will become unresponsive after restart (white screen with small gray apple logo). At this point, I will hard reboot and after reboot, only PSD files that have recently been worked on seem to be corrupted. Fortunately, I have backup software and can restore old versions, but it's still a pain! I don't know if it matters, but I work on PSD in SSD. Previous Mac version with Lion without SSD never had this issue. Thanks, Navjot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/267194-photoshop-files-corrupt-after-forced-reboot/#findComment-1774353 Share on other sites
