ZackMacAttack
Hey Guys! I have a question, I finally got 10.7 installed on my HP DV7-4083cl Laptop (Thanks to Legacy 11.1.0 Kernel) with pretty much everything working, except graphics. I know that my ATI GPU works with lion as seen in topics here on insanely mac, however my Intel Integrated graphics does not work with QE/CI yet OS X Picks the Intel over the ATI as default. My question is: How do I either; 1. Disable the Intel Integrated Graphics or 2. Set the ATI GPU as default. PS: NO! There is no option to disable it in the bios. Thanks Guys! pauldmps
It is not possible to use the AMD GPU as default in OSX simply because your display is permanently connected to IntelHD. That's how new AMD Dyanamic GPU switching works. However Intel HD300 can be made to work fully under Lion. I'm trying hard to make the AMD GPU on my laptop work (or atleast disable it so it does not hog battery) but haven't been successful yet.
