DHARQAXIAN
I have a sgl core AMD Athlon XP 2400+ with 1.5GB of RAM and a 300GB Seegate Hard drive using' Windows XP, I have the JaS 10.4.7 Install DVD and VMWare. When I try to install as an i386 OS I get screen information witin the screen shot. When I try to install via VMWare I get the same error or the following message "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist not found". When I try to install via -v mode I get the same as if I was trying to install "native". I spent 3hrs this trying to get this to install, I installed Acronis and partitioned my drive, I used fdisk to partioned the a 2nd drive to use EXCLUSIVELY as my Apple HD but it won't install to find the drive - which makes sense . Is it tru that there is NO AMD compatible install DVD and that theyare ALL Intel? Is the x86 DVD a 64bit OS only? I have tried using the VMWare How-To guides I have found but one suggests setting the CPU to dual processor but if you do that when you only have a sgl core the VM will not start - obvioulsy. I have tried setting the VM as both FreeBSD & Other, leaving the Network settings as Bridged and the HD Setting as 8GB - as suggested by the guides - all NO GOOD....!!!!! this am close to tearin my :censored2: haor out, what the :censored2: am I doin wrong? cbmkgd
All the hacked osx installs need at least sse2-enabled cpus. Make sure first you have compatible hardware. Consult the wiki. And there are amd compatible install dvd: myzar's, jas' for exemple (are there others? ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/26686-1047-fails-to-install-amd/#findComment-181158 Share on other sites
