I just can't do it, I've made like 2-3 DVD's and none of them will boot. One, did boot, but I got a "Still Waiting on Root Device," message. My computer specs: CPU : AMD Athlon™ II X2 Dual-Core Processor 250u (1.6GHz, 2MB total cache) Operating System : Genuine Windows® 7 Ultimate 64-bit and Ubuntu Linux 11.04 64-bit Chipset : NVIDIA® GeForce® 6150 SE Memory : 4GB DDR2 dual-channel (2 × 2GB) Expandable to 8GB 4 DDR2 slots total, 2 DDR2 slots available Hard Drive : 750GB 7200rpm SATA Optical Drive : 16x DVD±R/RW SuperMulti drive Write max: 16x DVD±R, 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD+RW, 8x DVD±R DL, 5x DVD-RAM, 48x CD-R and 32x CD-RW Read max: 16x DVD-ROM, 40x CD-ROM Media Reader : Multi-in-one digital media card reader CompactFlash® I & II, CF+™ Microdrive, Secure Digital™ (SD) Card, miniSD™ Card, MultiMediaCard™ (MMC), MMCmobile™, MMCmicro™, Reduced-Size MultiMediaCard™ (RS-MMC), Memory Stick™ (MS), Memory Stick Pro®™ (MS Pro), Memory Stick Duo™ (MS Duo), Memory Stick Pro® Duo™ (MS Pro Duo), Memory Stick Micro™ (MS Micro), xD-Picture Card™ Video : Integrated NVIDIA® GeForce® 6150 SE graphics How would I install it on my computer? Gringo Vermelho Posted August 23, 2011 Share Posted August 23, 2011 Your video card (x150 nvidia cards with shared memory) is not supported by the OS X nvidia drivers. Still Waiting For Root Device means that your hard drive controller doesn't have drivers loaded for it. Either there really are no drivers for it, your install media doesn't have the right drivers, or you need to change BIOS settings.
