ClassicRS
Hello! I recently acquired a Hackintosh that was built by someone else. It’s an ASUS P5K Pro mobo, Nvidia, 4GB, Q6600, running Snow Leopard. He originally had it set up to boot to either Win7 or 10.6.8 using two separate HD’s that are removable thru front docks on the tower. He kept the 1TB HD with Win7 and left the 320GB with the 10.6.8 load. I wanted to clone the HD to a new 1TB SATA and did so using Super Duper and #####. It was successful and when the machine boots I can select between the OS running on the 320TB or the 1TB at the boot screen. It will also run fine using the original 320GB drive. However, I want to keep the 320Gb stored away as a backup and just run the 1TB as a primary single drive. When I remove the original drive, the machine will not boot to the new clone drive….although it will when the other drive is present. I’ve even gone into the BIOS as selected the 1TB drive as the boot. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! ClassicRS
Okay thanks for the reply! I thought I was done after installing #####. I've not used Chameleon (although that is what the boot is on the drive)...so basically I just download Chameleon, run it and install it to the new 1TB drive, correct? Simple as that?
