Hi,

I hope anybody can help me. I am running 10.6.7 on my Hackintosh, running with EFI-X. Now I want to go to 10.7 by upgrading. EFI-X is not supported 10.7 yet. I would´t reinstall Software and want to keep my files.

I tried the "tonymacx86.com" Method but I couldn't start the Installation.

"this version of mac os x 10.7 cannot be installed on this computer"

I think EFI-X has edit or add some plist files or something else. - I´m not an expert (as you can see in efi-x )

I also install an bootloader but If i start the PC without EFI_X I only get a short "Darwin x86" Screen and then a blank screen.

I hope anybody can help me.

My system:

(EFI-X v.1.1)

Intel Q6600

8 GB (2x 4 GB) RAM

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3L

nVidia 9800GT

Has anybody a tip for me?

Can I make a backup with TimeMachine. Install 10.7 on a clean machine and restore from Backup? Is that possible?

You should contact the company that made EFI-X and ask for support. As i know, EFI-X is just modified Chameleon with an nice looking theme. So the Chameleon version on it is old and does not support Lion. Next time use Chameleon on USB stick and don't pay for that {censored}.

You need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 in order for Lion to install and then the system will reboot. You will then need to use xMove to move the installation to a partition of 5gb (at least) and then you can select this partition to install over your SL or to a new partition. You need 10.6.8 to begin...
